Building Communities, Homes and Hope for the People of Hawaii

Volunteer

Come volunteer with us!

Volunteering in ReStore is rewarding way to connect with people, meet new friends, and make a difference in your community. Volunteering gives you an opportunity to be part of the mission to help families in need owning quality, affordable homes on Oahu. When you  volunteer at Honolulu Habitat for Humanity's ReStore, you're supporting the store that helps strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.

Examples of volunteer needs

No Prior Experience Necessary - Just a willing heart! You or your group MUST be registered to volunteer through VolunteerUp. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift to sign in. Please ensure that you've watched both the ReStore Orientation Video and ReStore Safety Video. Please call or email our Volunteer Coordinator if you will not be able to make it at least one day in advance. Closed toe shoes are required and we recommend labor appropriate clothing.

Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older to volunteer at the ReStore. Volunteers 14 to 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for their first ReStore Shift and must have a parent or guardian's signature on their Volunteer Waiver.

Everyone is required to complete and turn in a Release and Liability Waiver when they come on site.  In an effort to reduce our imprint on the environment, please bring your own water bottle for the day. We will provide water for you to refill your bottles throughout the day. Habitat provides all of the tools, but you are welcome to bring your own safety goggles and gloves if you want. Please note that Honolulu Habitat is not responsible for any stolen or broken tools.
