What is Honolulu ReStore?
Honolulu ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials and home accessories to the public at a fraction of the retail price. ReStore raises additional funds to support Habitat’s mission to eliminate substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to make decent, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Proceeds from sales are used to build homes, communities, and hope here for the people of O’ahu.
Our constantly changing inventory and frequent markdowns provide great deals every day for bargain shoppers, do-it-yourselfers and treasure hunters. Honolulu ReStore offers shoppers a unique shopping experience, where proceeds go to building and repairing homes locally. ReStore provides a selection of diverse, high-quality merchandise at a fraction of retail price. From vintage finds to nearly new building essentials, ReStore is a treasure hunter’s paradise and an investment in your community. Support from Honolulu ReStores’ shoppers, donors and volunteers helps Habitat for Humanity create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
By accepting donations, Honolulu ReStore is also able to divert tons of reusable materials from our local landfills. ReStores secondary focus is on environmental sustainability is an added benefit to the public. Habitat ReStores provide businesses and individuals an opportunity to donate items they no longer need, while also offering them a tax benefit for contributing to a qualified 501(c)(3) organization. Honolulu Habitat Sales from ReStore directly fund Honolulu Habitat for Humanity's mission of building affordable homes in communities on O’ahu.
